Wendy Lee (Executive Director) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of BEANii. With an MA in architecture from Cambridge University, a background of professional discipline that combines the arts and science, Wendy has since worked with and across the creative industries managing successful international project delivery. She has worked for organisations such as the British Council, the Moving Picture Company, ZEDFactory and the Energy Saving Trust, managing high-quality interdisciplinary partnerships between scientists, engineers, artists and creative professionals. In addition to her extensive programme management experience, Wendy previously also founded a business startup delivering £150k turnover after just 3 years bringing new products into a tough niche market.

Wendy is passionate about children's well-being and community development, with experience as a volunteer at Student Community Action in Cambridge as well as World's End Estates in London. Wendy is a mother of identical 11–year old twins, enjoys creating new recipes of healthy food and has taken part in challenges such as rowing across the English Channel.

Beth McGregor (Educational Director) comes to BEANii with undergraduate degrees in Human Biology and Drama as well as a Masters in Education, all from Stanford University. She spent the last 7 years in New York City working as a 4th grade classroom teacher Collegiate School for Boys, primary and secondary science teacher, and mentor for first year teachers. In addition to her teaching, she hosted a weekly comedy show and worked as a stand-up comedian. She has written the teacher's guides for two bestselling children's books, adapted multiple children's books into plays, and guided student-led video projects while running The Flying Dutchman after school drama program. Trained as both actor and teacher, Beth brings a keen eye for new teaching methodologies and modes that will engage and excite BEANii participants.
